How to Save Hundreds, if Not Thousands of Dollars with the T-mobile G1 by Curtisia Monroe
If you think all the smart phone hype isn't worth your money or your time, not only are you wrong, but you're wasting untold amounts of money and time nearly every time you open your wallet. Just watch. This week is the perfect example of how a little lack of foresight and a lot of smirking lightens your purse too much and ruins your dinner party (aka chance to gloat)…all in one hour. Yes, really!
It's Sunday. In an hour your family will be sitting down to the fantastic dinner that you've so graciously slaved away at. Plus, the in-laws are coming over and you planned to really prove, again (to you sister-in-law), that you're the best cook in the family. You’re dressed to perfection, the table is all set, and the oven is taking care of the rest.
Except…Yep. Unfortunately, there‘s a huge problem threatening your ability to really rub your sister-in-law’s face in your prowess. You forgot to pick up that one extra, essential earlier in the week when you were planning this awesome dinner: The wine.
And not just any bottle. The one she bragged on and on about the last time your family ate at her house (she's so obnoxious). You know… the expensive one. The really expensive, oh-the-lengths-we-will-go-to –for-our- egos, one!
Well, you want it. But, you don't just want it, you want to get it quickly and pay way less for it than she did. To make your plan work, you'd have to find it on sale. You’d also have to do it in less than an hour (well, 55 minutes now since you spent too much time pulling at your hair).
Oh, what to do? Should you cave in and serve the less than perfect bottle your husband bought-wine was never his strong suit? Should you ignore the sophistication the rest of your dinner is calling for and go alcohol free? How is that satisfying? Or should you simply close your eyes and whip out your purse, paying too much for the wine you want, while still looking like a peer-pressured idiot?
Believe it or not, this is not a Mission Impossible scenario. In fact, that whole smart phone thing you’ve being smirking arrogantly about, unbelieving that anyone would have so much for a cell phone, could make the whole thing just another weapon in your arsenal (you really can cook her under the table). What if the T-mobile G1 smart phone could give you the ability to find the cheapest price on any barcode item at any time, on command? For any location no matter where live or for the internet?
Hey, who needs to spend hours comparing prices in sales papers? Or like on Sunday, frantically racing around town for a finishing touch/ego-saver (stupid sister-in-law). Think about it. If you’re like most parents, your kids always seem to need this or that for some school project that they forget about (or you did), until the last minute. Huh, kid’s today, right?
And let’s face it; last minute shopping can get pretty expensive…regardless of how many Wal-marts your town has. When we’re stressed for time, we all tend to just give in and get what we need at whatever is most convenient, despite the over expense!
Why not make your suffering a thing of the past? Go ahead. Take a longer look at smart phones and the T-mobile G1 to save hundreds, possibly thousands of dollars, countless man-hours, and bragging rights. Don’t you deserve it?
